Vintage Khepri Scarab Egyptian Revival 3D sterling silver pendant necklace
Khepri is a solar deity that is known to roll the sun across the sky and then down to the underworld every night. The scarab is said to be a representation of the Khepri. The face of this scarab pendant features a highly detailed 3D scarab but when it is flipped over we see a highly detailed scarab holding up the sun. These Egyptian themes became very popular with the finding on King Tut's tomb in the 1920's. Great vintage condition with little signs of normal wear for the age. Patina has been left on this piece. Comes with sterling silver rope chain. Dime for scale.
Acid tests positive for sterling silver.
